Where to take old furniture in Tallinn
In Tallinn, old furniture can be taken to the city waste stations in Pääsküla, Rahumäe, Pärnamäe or Paljassaare. Unusable furniture counts as bulky waste: it costs €10.30/m³ for Tallinn residents and €31/m³ for businesses and residents of other municipalities (Tallinn price list, September 2026).
Furniture that is clean and in good condition can go to reuse. If you have no way to transport it or cannot carry it yourself, you can book collection: a crew carries the furniture out and takes it away for you.

These are station fees, not a collection price. According to the city, bulky waste includes sofas, tables, shelves, mattresses, carpets and mirrors (City of Tallinn, bulky waste).
Furniture in good condition: free reuse
Clean, intact furniture does not have to become waste. Tallinn has reuse rooms in Pääsküla and Paljassaare and circular economy centres in Lilleküla (Mustjõe 40) and Lasnamäe (Toorme 2). According to the city, the waste stations accept usable furniture free of charge, and Uuskasutuskeskus can collect furniture that is intact and clean (City of Tallinn). Agree the condition of the items and the acceptance or collection with the centre in advance.
Old appliances: fridges and washing machines
Electronics are accepted free of charge at Tallinn waste stations, but an incomplete fridge costs €15.50 per item (price list). With a large appliance, the hard part is carrying it out and transporting it.
If you cannot take the furniture yourself
At a waste station you have to carry out, load and transport the furniture yourself. If you have no vehicle or the stairs are long, you can book collection.
